Eastern Structures Sets Span 2 Of The 190’ long Wolf Island Creek Bridge

 

Eastern Structures LLC sets Span 2 of the 190’ long Wolf Island Creek Bridge in Rockingham County North Carolina.   The bridge consists of two spans of box beam girders, a 100’ and 90’ span. The roadway width is 33’ consisting of 11 beams per span. Each span was set in one day utilizing a single crane rated for 500 tons provided by Guy Turner of Greensboro, NC.

The project is being overseen by Brandon Shore, Manager of Eastern Structures.   The beams weighted 84000# (100’ Span) and 76000# (90’ Span).

Eastern Structures LLC is a major bridge contractor for the NCDOT and is located in Mocksville, NC.
